Twitter is Killing My Blog

Increasingly I’m finding that I’m spending more time on Twitter and less time on my blog and I suspect I’m far from the only one.  Blogs are great as a repository of information or in depth research but, for me, Twitter has become a much more efficient method of reading and sharing information, not to mention the wider distribution available and user engagement.

I’ve been ignoring my blog so much in favor of Twitter that I simply have a notepad of ideas queued up for the blog that I would be surprised if they were executed on in 2009.

Are you having a similar experience?  How do you budget your time between online channels?  Is your goal of Twitter to drive people to your blog or vice versa?
