Follow Up: My Rookie Year at #SXSW After experiencing my first SXSW I can only say one thing: wow.  Just wow. If you’re in the tech industry then SXSW is certainly the conference of the year.  Not only do you have the opportunity to bump into various tech leaders all in one evening but everyone attending is simply overwhelmingly ready to converse.

How uTest Spent the Week @SXSW: A Recap [Cross Post] This is a cross post from the uTest blog. Last week, I mentioned that Matt Johnston and I were heading to the SXSW conference in Austin, TX. Well, we’re finally back in Massachusetts and almost caught up on sleep.  The trip was a lot of fun and I think we accomplished what we set out to.

SXSW v. The Prom Admittedly, I’ve never been to SXSW before. 2011 is going to be my first year in attendance but it seems eerily familiar to something I’ve done before. The "real" Live Search – Summize & Twitter I passed on the Google Dance this year but was curious to see pictures in near-real time (from less than an hour ago).  Google and the other search engines can’t pull the data in that quickly but Twitter is able to using search.Twitter.com (aka Summize).  A quick search for “Google Dance” yielded numerous pages of.

Initial Thoughts From SES San Jose (Day 2) This is my third SES conference and to be honest, Search Engine Strategies 2008 San Jose just isn’t cutting it. I was pretty impressed with last year, but this year…  Meh. To begin with, there is certainly a larger amount of sponsored sessions. The focus has shifted towards agencies, rather than in house SEM’ers. There.
